POLICE in Ivybridge are on the hunt for the perpetrators of two thefts carried out in the early part of 2016.

Between 8pm and 10pm on Friday, January 8, a vehicle in the Cleeve / Woodland Road area of Ivybridge had a window smashed and power tools stolen.

Thieves made off with a Hitachi disc cutter, Titan concrete breaker, Stihl chainsaw, Makita drills, and a Paslode nail gun. The police ask anyone who is offered any of these tools, saw anything or has any information to contact them on 101, quoting crime reference CR/001705/16.

A week before, some time between Thursday, December 31 and Saturday, January 2, an Indespension trailer was stolen from Ermington Road Industrial Estate on the outskirts of Ivybridge.

Ivybridge Police described the trailer as having ‘unique specifications’, and said that heavy-duty bolt croppers would have been used to carry out the theft.

They ask anyone that may have seen anything unusual or has any information to call the 101 number, quoting crime reference CR/000373/16.
