A YOUNG woman has been ordered to pay more than £180 after she was caught travelling on a train without a ticket.

Muirenn Sutherland, 20, of Avonwick, near South Brent, admitted travelling on a train without a ticket at Newton Abbot on Monday, November 9, when she appeared before magistrates in Newton Abbot last week (Wednesday, July 13).

Sutherland was ordered to pay an £80 fine, £80 costs, £4.30 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge, totalling £184.30.
