THE youngest supporter of South Brent & District Caring has once again shown generosity beyond her years in fundraising for the charity.

Amazing Grace Clayton, a Year 6 pupil at South Brent Primary School is an enthusiastic supporter of the local organisation, for which her mum Sam is a volunteer.

Last year, Grace asked the Health Centre at South Brent if she could sell cakes at flu vaccination clinics held in October, and this year she did the same again.

Grace was supported by Sam, who works at the Health Centre and her dad Matt.

She paid a visit to the South Brent Caring office on the way to school one morning, and handed over a total of £192 for the charity’s funds.

South Brent Caring coordinator Sue Burgess said: ‘It is so wonderful when young people, especially as young as Gracie, acknowledge and appreciate the supportive work our volunteers do. They will hopefully be the volunteers of the future.

‘The primary school at South Brent nurtures a good relationship with us, inviting older people who attend the Lunch Club to a special School Lunch three times a year, when the children are the waiters and waitresses. The Lunch Club are having their Christmas visit to the School this week.’
