A TEACHER and parent governor from Woodlands Park Primary in Ivybridge have been recognised for their work in designing a new PE programme for schools.
PE teacher Paula Clough and Gill Cameron, a parent and governor at the school, received the Whole Curriculum Subject Resource Award at the 2016 Education Resources Awards in Birmingham.
Together with two primary schools in London, Paula and Gill helped to come up with the Champions programme published by Rising Stars, that was recognised as a top holistic sport, fitness and health resource for Years 1 to 6.
The programme is supported by online resources, and is designed to improve fundamental movement skills and knowledge of health and wellbeing.
