Youngsters descended on a village football club for a recent tournament and fun day.
Organised by South Brent Football Club for its under 11 side, the day saw Brent welcome teams from Modbury, Keyham, Tamerton Foliot, Saltash and Plymouth.
Organiser and joint under 11s coach Phil Beesley said the event had been a great success, thanks to the weather and some changes to the usual tournament format. This saw young players in teams of nine, as is usual during the regular season, whereas tournaments tend to be six-a-side.
The day also gave siblings and parents a chance to get in on the action, with separate games after the under 11s had battled it out. Tamerton Foliot took home the trophy, with South Brent second and Modbury third.
Phil said: "It was a very very successful day. Being our first one I don’t think it could have gone any better.
"There was lots to do as well as the football. We had a big inflatable slide from Bouncing Crazy in Ivybridge, and the barbecue was a massive success, so much so we had to go back to the butchers twice as we kept selling out.
"There was a bar sponsored by the Packhorse Inn in South Brent, and a cupcake sale. At the end of everything we had a big raffle with good prizes, including four box seats for the Exeter Chiefs next season.
"I think the most popular thing was soak the coach, sponsored by Hayman Joinery. We set up the stocks and myself and some of the other coaches were put in them.
"They could buy three sponges for 50p, I think the kids spent most of their money on that."
A busy summer schedule will see Brent under 11s heading to a tournament in Elburton, Plymstock in two weeks time, before taking part in carnival football tournaments both in the village and in Kingsbridge.
