THE Horse and Groom in Bittaford has raised a total of £1,782.30 for the Brain Tumour Charity and Erme Valley Riding for the Disabled Group.

The money was raised at the pub’s Cider and Sausage Sizzle festival in April and their Real Ale Festival in July.

Olly Michelin, landlord of the pub said: ‘We’d like to thank the Reel Academy of Irish Dance, the Plymouth Morris Men, Retrospect, Jakku Dogs and to all those who sponsored a barrel.

‘And of course a big thank you from myself, Dawn and Rose to all those who came along and supported our charity festivals.’

The Horse & Groom’s next festivals will be the Cider and Sausage Sizzle in April 2017, and their Real Ale festival over the first weekend of July 2017.
