Dart Vale Veterinary Practice in Totnes is undergoing a major expansion and refurbishment to enhance its facilities and improve the experience for clients and their pets.
The project, which began in May and is due for completion at the end of July, will significantly increase the hospital’s capacity and modernise its existing spaces.
Once complete, the hospital will feature two new consulting rooms, bringing the total to five, alongside three modern operating theatres and a second preparation area to support a greater number of procedures. In addition to the expansion, all existing consulting rooms are being fully refurbished with new furniture and finishes. The reception area will also be upgraded, providing a more comfortable and welcoming environment for clients.

Ben Cox, Practice Manager, said: “We’re very excited to welcome our community into the newly expanded practice once the work is complete. This has been a long-awaited project for the team, and it represents an important step forward for us.
“The additional space will allow us to care for more patients and improve how we deliver treatments day to day, while also creating a more modern and comfortable environment for our clients. We’re particularly looking forward to showcasing the improvements and inviting clients to see the changes for themselves.”

To celebrate the completion of the works, the practice plans to host an open evening in August, offering clients the opportunity to look around the updated facilities and meet the team.
