National Three

South West

Camborne 25,

Ivybridge 18

Ivybridge suffered their second defeat in as many games as they suffered another narrow defeat, this time down at Camborne writes Tim Leigh.

The Cornish side, who are third in the table, were always likely to provide a stern test for the Bridge, and in the event they completed the double for the season over their visitors.

Ivybridge, though, did at least pick up a bonus point for their troubles, their second of the fortnight, and this ensures they remain fourth in the table, though Newton Abbot are now level on points.

The Bride will be looking to stop the rot tomorrow when they face what should be an easier fixture, welcoming bottom side Bromsgrove to Cross-in-Hand.

Ivybridge showed their fighting spirit in earning anything from the match against Camborne as they were 15-7 down at half-time and then were 13 points adrift at one stage in the second half.

However, they clawing their way back nito the match with two well-earned penalties to grab a valuable point that keeps them fourth.
