BROWNIES from across the area enjoyed an exciting sleep over at the National Marine Aquarium recently.

The youngsters from Cornwood, Modbury, Yealmpton and Ivybridge visited the popular attraction, getting an after hours tour and learning all about lots of different sea creatures.

There was time for some crafts afterwards, before preparing beds for the night ready for a film on a screen set up in front of the large fish tank. There was a midnight snack of popcorn and ice cream, and after a good night’s sleep and a bit of fish watching in the middle of the night everyone had breakfast before leaving the fish to welcome their day visitors.

A clear favourite of the Brownies was Snorkel the turtle, and the youngsters also enjoyed seeing the new lemon sharks.
