LONG-forgotten scenes of Modbury in former times have gone on display at the Devon Rural Archive.
The new photographic exhibition entitled ‘Modbury Moments’ at the DRA is open from now until September.
Located at Shilstone, near Modbury, the DRA is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am to 3pm. Entrance to the exhibition is free of charge and a special Open Day and coffee morning to celebrate the exhibition’s opening will be held on Thursday, March 10.
‘The exhibition honours Modbury’s unique heritage and uses research carried out by local residents, as well as photographs from the DRA’s own collection,’ explained Abi Gray, Resident Archaeologist at the DRA.
‘We really hope it will appeal to local residents, as well as those further afield, and that they will take the opportunity to come along and enjoy the display and discover more about Modbury’s history and the work of the DRA at the same time.’
