WOODLANDS Park Primary School has said a fond farewell to a member of staff who has worked there since its opening in 1991.

Sue Edwards started as a lunchtime supervisor, but soon moved on to the school office.

A spokesman for the school said Sue had been a loyal, well liked member of staff and had seen many changes over the years, witnessing children leave, and return several years later as parents. She would be sorely missed by everyone.

Woodlands Park Primary also recently presented its special achievement awards for the spring term. Each term, a boy and a girl from each year are chosen by staff to receive the awards.

They can be given for a whole range of reasons, but recipients have often stood out to teachers for their effort, attitude to learning, and the way they have overcome difficulties.
