Claire Gordon, south west regional manager, Diabetes UK, writes:
Diabetes UK is hoping to hear from people with diabetes who would like to talk about their experiences of attending a diabetes education course.
Diabetes is a lifelong condition and one that requires constant management.
People with diabetes are also responsible for the vast majority of their own care, so having them understand their condition is vital.
Diabetes education courses such as ‘Dose Adjustment For Normal Eating’, ‘Diabetes Education and Self Management for Ongoing and Diagnosed’ and ‘X-Pert’ help give people the skills and confidence they need to take control of their diabetes.
Diabetes UK knows that attending a diabetes education course can be life-changing. That’s why we want to make sure more people go on the courses.
If you have attended a diabetes education course, then we would like to hear from you about how it helped you.
If you would like to share your story, please email us on CommsPlanning@diabetes. org.uk. We look forward to hearing from you.
