Hooray for Rosemary Dunstan! I’ve been trying to start a petition to force the owners to renovate the Kings Arms hotel.

Cathy and Pete, the last ­permanent managers, did an enormous amount of hard work and the business thrived, contrary to Mr Thornton’s assertions, but failed because the owners would not pay for essential repairs.

The loss to our community has been huge, noticed ­particularly during the Christmas celebrations.

Perhaps local residents can influence the Reuben brothers and I hope Dr Wollaston MP can help.
