IVYBRIDGE’S Watermark is to host a season of films to celebrate Roald Dahl 100 - the centenary year of the much-loved author’s birth.

Fans of all ages will be able to relive the magic of discovering the great writer, as films based on his stories for children and adults are shown in September.

The films are on either side of ’Roald Dahl Day’ on Tuesday, September 13 - 100 years since his birth.

The programme will appeal to audiences of all ages, with films of favourites like James and the Giant Peach, Matilda and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory alongside Four Rooms, which is loosely based on his adult short stories, an evening of entertainment based on his Tales of the Unexpected, and a showing of Bond film You Only Live Twice, for which Dahl wrote the screenplay.
