A FORMER pupil of Ivybridge Community College has been given a prestigious award for her ‘exceptional’ academic performance at the University of Oxford.

Keziah Stephenson is studying PPE – politics, philosophy and economics – at Mansfield College, one of 44 colleges and halls at Oxford.

Keziah was recently awarded an Exhibition, a college award given to a very small number of students. The Exhibition recognises consistently good academic performance, and means the college thinks she is capable of achieving a ‘first’ in her final examinations.

The award puts Keziah in the top handful of students at Oxford, itself widely regarded as one of the best universities in the world.

Ivybridge Community College said it was ‘delighted’ at Keziah’s success, while Mansfield’s senior tutor Lucinda Rumsey said: ‘These awards reflect great credit on Keziah’s teachers at Ivybridge Community College, as well as her teachers here at Mansfield, but above all are testimony to Keziah’s own ability and exceptional engagement with her academic work.’
