This week the Ivybridge & South Brent Gazette leads on a story about dog owners being accused of putting the health of others at risk by allowing their pets to foul on football pitches.

According to the club’s manager, there has been growing concern about the problem at Ivybridge Town FC, where players are being put at risk.

Our picture story shows Years 5 and 6 pupils who recently had a visit from the NSPCC, which is running a nationwide programme to teach every primary school-age child the important skills of how to speak out and keep safe.

Inside we cover the expected 3.4 per cent increase in beer tax and how it could affect the pub economy in the South Hams, as well as a story about an Ivybridge mum of two who won a national award for her blog, The Slimming Foodie, in the 2018 Brilliance in Blogging Awards.

As always, we feature information about ’What’s On’, around the clubs, and ’Village Voices’ all inside.

Remember if you can’t get to the shops, or you have moved out of the area, you can get all South Hams Newspapers online here: http://www.southhams-today.co.uk/subscribe.cfm.
