Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating a serious road traffic collision on the A38 near Plympton and have now appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were notified of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A38, Plympton, on the approach to Marsh Mills at around 17:30 on Wednesday, September 16.

The collision reportedly involved a white and blue Suzuki motorcycle and a white Mini Cooper.

As a result of the collision, the motorcycle rider, an 18-year-old local man, sustained injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

His family have been informed.

The driver of the car was uninjured and remained at the scene to assist officers with enquiries.

The road was closed for approximately an hour whilst the casualty was cared for by paramedics, and police officers conducted an initial investigation.
