Wrangaton Golf Club

On Wednesday, Jan­uary 10, the ladies played a nine-hole competition on the back nine.

In first place with a magnificent 20 points was Sue Ansley, and in second place was Mary Shepherd with 17 points. This week weather permitting, the ladies will be playing three clubs and a putter. The participating players have all this week to make the important choice of clubs.

The vets managed to play the turkey trot after having to cancel the event before Christmas due to poor weather.

Phil Edwards took first place beating Bill Purser with a better back nine both players scored 39 points. Mike Tremain finished third and Neil Edwards fourth Mike had a better back nine they both scored 37 points.

There were two twos Steve Bryant and Neil Edwards, but Mike Daniels had a hole-in-one on the 14th hole the hardest par-three on the course.

On Saturday the club professional arranged a fun Canadian Greensomes fun event 60 players took part. The weather was kind considering the weather forecast.

Alison Dunkley and Mark Lee scored an impressive 49 points beating brothers Tommy Newman and Dan Newman by two shots. In third spot was Tim Nand-Lal and Dave Beer they scored 46 points.
