A man was found guilty of driving a Citroen car without due care and attention in Ugborough Road, Bittaford, near Ivybridge, on March 16.

The car was also overcrowded, carrying six people when there were only seat belts fitted.

Steven Peter Casey, 49, of Hillside, Bittaford, was convicted in his absence by Torquay magistrates on Friday, July 15.

Casey was fined a total of £540 and ordered to pay £85 costs plus a £44 victim surcharge. His driving licence was endorsed with five points.
