GLANVILLES Mill was buzzing with activity on Sunday as locals and visitors came to check out the Ivybridge Summer Fete.

Organised by Ivybridge Chamber of Commerce alongside Miss Ivy Events, the fete was jam packed with entertainment. A range of traders came along to complement the Glanvilles Mill shops, which were open for the day.

Singer Becky Brine gave a great performance and magician Mark Cheetham wowed children and adults alike. Ceroc dancers got everyone dancing, and the Ivybridge Theatre Company was on hand to greet people on arrival and keep them entertained.

Ivybridge town crier Ian Wintersgill was also present, and was introduced to the theatre company’s pantomime dame, while the Devon Freewheelers, who deliver blood and other urgent medical supplies throughout the county, were there to tell people about their work.

Footnote shoe shop proprietor Pat White, chairman of the Ivybridge Chamber of Commerce said the fete had gone ’fabulously’, with a great turnout and lovely weather - she called it ’a special day for Ivybridge’.

Miss Ivy Events thanked the chamber and everyone that supported the fete.
