A HANNAHS supporter and her friend have taken on the notorious ‘Diff’ to raise money for the charity.
Nicola Slateford’s niece Emily Slateford is a resident at Hannahs’ young adult provision, Hannahwood, in Ivybridge.
Nicola recently raised more than £600 by completing the Cardiff Half Marathon – ‘The Diff’ – in spite of limited running experience.
Nicola said: ‘I’m pleased I did it and I think I enjoyed the experience! And to have raised some money for Hannahs was a real bonus.
‘Until I thought about doing the Diff I had never run more than about four miles, but I have to say that my friend Lisa and I are already planning to do another.’
Hannahs community engagement executive Emily Van Vliet said: ‘We would like to say a huge thank you to Nicola for her fantastic support of Hannahs, her hard training and running on the day and incredible effort in raising so much to support the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust.
‘If anyone reading this feels inspired by Nicola to raise money for Hannahs, please get in touch, we would love to hear from you.’
