STUDENTS and staff at Hannahs in Ivybridge have celebrated the season with a special ‘sensory Christmas market’.
The market showcased a range of gifts, made by Hannahs students, and designed to stimulate every sense.
Festive crafts and edible treats, created by staff and students since half-term, were on sale to the many friends and families that came along.
Christmas festivities concluded with carol singing round the Christmas tree.
The event was also a chance to say farewell and thank you to Hannahs trustees Bill Daniels and Walker Lapthorne, for all their hard work and loyal support over the years.
Hannahs head teacher Chris Freestone said: ‘This was the second sensory Christmas market which Hannahs School has held and it was an amazing event which captured the scents, sounds and tastes of Christmas.
‘The crafts, gifts, sweets, wreaths, decorations and cakes have been made by the students and staff over the last half term.
‘It was a delight to welcome so many visitors to the event which to date has raised over £500. Brilliant.’
