Steve Dooley, of South Pool, Kingsbridge, writes:

The people who survived the sinking of the Titanic were those who jumped into the lifeboats. No doubt there were plenty of people reassuring themselves that they were better together on the ship and that remaining on board was the safer option, even though there were, apparently, a few problems with the vessel.

Perhaps some of those who remained told the people who were getting into the lifeboats that as you don’t know exactly what will happen when you float away and that it would be much safer to remain on the big ship. Perhaps they told them that they would never survive out in the freezing North Atlantic by themselves, all alone and with no one to help them.

Well, we are aboard the EU, and it’s holed below the waterline and letting problems in – the euro and mass migration to name just two.

Will you remain on board the doomed ship or take to the lifeboats and vote to leave on June 23?
