A mum-of-four who fell into a life-threatening coma after an asthma attack in Dubai has died.
Jody Ann Ali Khan, 56, spent more than two weeks in a coma after suffering an asthma-induced seizure followed by cardiac arrest on June 29.
Her husband Jonathan, 58, tried desperately to raise money for life-saving treatment for his wife.
But unfortunately she died before anything could be done.
Sister-in-law Kim Richards, from Kingsbridge, Devon, said: “I am very saddened to tell you that Jody passed away on Sunday, July 14.
“She had a cardiac arrest and despite CPR attempts the doctors were unable to save her.
“Jonathan and the children are overcome with grief and are struggling to come to terms with their loss.
“I know that they truly appreciate everything everyone is doing, as do I.
“I’d like to thank you all for all the support that you given over these last two tragic weeks.
“Please keep sending your positive energies and loving thoughts to help them through.”
Jody Ann, who moved to Dubai 12 years ago, did not have medical insurance as her husband had not yet started his new job.
Kim said the family are now trying to raise more than £16,000 to help him cover the last of her medical bills.
A crowdfunding page created by Kim has so far raised more than £6,800.
