SOUTH Brent rider Jasmine Mumford cleaned up at this year’s Kings-bridge show, taking four victories in the horse classes. Jasmine, 16, is a student at Ivybridge Community College and has been riding since she was four.

On ex-racehorse Bridge Street Boy, Jasmine won every class she entered on her first visit to Kings-bridge Show.

She is no stranger to competition, however. She was a member of the Dartmoor Hunt Pony Club team that came eighth in the one day eventing at this year’s Pony Club National Championships in Cheshire. Jasmine also represents Ivybridge College in her sport.

She left The Kingsbridge Show ground on Saturday laden with cups and rosettes, including: the Freeman and Favis Farming perpetual silver salver for being champion in showmanship; the Ginger Cup presented by Mr and Mrs Brice for open jumping, fence height three foot; and the Trustee Savings Bank perpetual challenge cup for victory in the open jumping competition for horses exceeding 14.2 hands, over fences of three foot three inches.

She also won the best thoroughbred or purebred thoroughbred class and a rosette for best ex-racehorse.
