Steve Dooley, of South Pool, Kingsbridge, writes:

What a lot of people instructing us to vote to remain in the EU: company bosses who profit from cheap immigrant labour and find it easy to lobby the EU to make favourable regulations; organisations that turn out to be getting big EU grants and don’t want the boat rocked; leaders of international bureaucracies such as the International Monetary Fund, which would rather we stayed in the… er… large international bureaucracy of the EU; and now the president of the United States, who would find it more convenient – for the US – if we stayed in the EU, even though he would not for one moment contemplate the US joining such an organisation.

And of course, then there are the leaders of the EU and its member states, who would very much like to continue receiving very large sums of money from the UK while refusing to reform in the ways we want.

Well, I think we should see these interventions for exactly what they are: attempts to protect their own vested interests.

Let’s make June 23 the date that the interests of the British people finally triumph and regain control of our country and destiny.
