A community football club is “looking smarter” this season thanks to a sponsorship from a local company.

R West & Son Ltd has paid for new kit for the Ugborough Football Club Under 10s to show its support for the team.

Secretary of Ugborough Football Club, Stafford Williams, said that the players are “proudly” carrying the company logo on the front of their tops.

He also took time to thank the club on the team’s and fans’ behalf.

“Thanks to R West & Son Ltd’s sponsorship we now have matching kit for the team, making them feel part of the club. On behalf of everyone playing, watching, managing and coaching, many thanks for the sponsorship, it is greatly appreciated,” Mr Williams said.

Director of R West & Son Ltd, Jason Kennedy, said: “We’re delighted to make this donation and support the team. We are pleased to support good causes in the communities where we live and work.”

R West & Son Ltd is a timber packaging company founded in 1910 and based in Plymouth.
