Please could South Hams District Council tell us when repairs will be starting to the quayside wall in Kingsbridge, near the Creek’s End pub?

Cracks appeared in the footpath two years ago and on the information notice on the security fencing there is an interesting quote from the council leader, Cllr John Tucker, in 2016.

It reads: “We are out for tender at the moment and are eager to get started on the repair work to the quay wall.”

He doesn’t seem very eager to me.

Two years on, the path remains closed, the weeds continue to grow and the eyesore is still with us.

A progress report from Cllr Tucker would be appreciated.

Kellaton, KingsbridgeRESPONSE FROM SHDC: "The tender evaluation has been completed and the works are expected to begin in mid-September. Once the contractor has been confirmed, which is expected to take place later this week, we will be providing a formal update to Kingsbridge Town Council.”
