More winners were announced at the Rotary Club of Dartmouth charity prize draw this month. Town personality Tracie Fox picked the winning numbers, eagerly watched on Zoom. The numbers chosen by Tracie were: £100 prize: Simon Bennett - number 8; £20 prizes: Geoff Hicks - number 12, John Mills - number 95, and Andrew Yates - number 82.
The Rotary club, which was running short of funds in its charity account and unable to raise funds in the traditional manner with coffee mornings, fetes and the like during the pandemic, set up the draw at the end of last year. All monies donated to the draw will be ring-fenced for donating to worthy causes in the Dartmouth community and on the initial contributions will well exceed £5,000 this year.
The prizes each month are £100 for first prize plus three other prizes of £20 each. Plus, once a year, every December, the bumper prize is £1000.
The next draw will take place on Thursday December 2, and the first Thursday of every month from then on.
