Ivybridge U16s met Topsham U16s at Brixham Rugby Club to decide this year's winner of the Fishermans Cup, in a rematch of the Devon Cup final two weeks earlier.
In a scrappy first half, with lots of errors by both sides, it was Topsham who took the lead, going into half time 13-0 up.
Despite plenty of pressure on the Topsham line, Ivy seemed unable to get on the scoreboard.
As the second half started, Topsham continued to turn the screw, adding another unconverted try to their tally and all hopes of the Bridgers "doing the double" seemed lost; it was then that Ivy rallied.
Two tries by Marcus and Adam, one of which was converted, finally saw the Greens on the scoreboard.
With Topsham adding another penalty to their score, Ivy adding another unconverted try and the match into injury time, Topsham seemed sure of a 21-17 victory, until Jay ran the length of the pitch to score in the 72nd minute.
Ivy were ahead for the first time in the match and now their supporters were the ones celebrating, but the drama wasn't over yet as Topsham were awarded a penalty within kicking distance.
A miss by Topsham ensured Ivy clung on to their one-point lead and took home the cup. The man-of-the-match award went to Jay and the U16s finished their junior years at the club on a high as both Devon Cup and Fishermans Cup winners.
Ivybridge first team coach Neil Thomson summed up a great finish to the season for the club, saying: 'It was another Ivybridge recovery, we seem to be making a habit of coming from behind to win things.
'The boys did really well, it's nice to see them so happy afterwards in their last game as juniors.'
For the club as a whole this was the third trophy inside a week after the second team and the third team won the Lockie Cup and the Ellis Cup respectively at Devonport Services' home ground of the Rectory last week.
Thomson said: 'It's an absolute dream, there were four good teams playing, as a club we're delighted, there's such a great atmosphere at the moment from the U7s all the way up.'
The seconds sunk Plymouth Argaum's promotion-winning first team 22-25, continuing the tradition by coming from behind to win, and the thirds tackled Argaum's second team in another close encounter, triumphing 18-22.
If next season proves half as successful the club as this one has been, then it is fair to say all the supporters of this home-grown club will be in for something special.
