Former Ivybridge Rugby Club and now Exeter Chiefs star Henry Slade is in line to win his fourth international cap this weekend as he has been named on the bench for England’s match against Argentina.

The clash at Twickenham, England’s third game in the Old Mutual Wealth Series this autumn, will see England going for their 12th straight win this year under coach Eddie Jones.

Slade, from Yealmpton, impressed in his 14-minute cameo last weekend in the 58-15 win against Fiji, setting up a try with a delicious delayed pass, and will hope to cement his match-day status with another strong performance this weekend.

Long regarded as one of the brightest talents at England’s disposal, Slade was a key part of the all-conquering England U20s team of 2013 who became the first team to beat the New Zealand U20s, the Baby Blacks, at the Junior World Championship on the way to lifting the trophy for the first time.
