A DRIVER has been banned from the roads after he was found to be drink-driving and driving without insurance.

Gregory Joseph Morris, 26, of Filham, Ivybridge, was arrested in Barracks Hill, Totnes, on July 13, after he was found to be over the drink-drive limit.

Tests showed he had 62mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath – the legal limit is 35mcg.

He also had no motor insurance for his Peugeot 306.

Torquay magistrates yesterday, Thursday, banned Morris from driving for 17 months, fined him a total of £460 and ordered him to pay £85 costs plus a £30 victim surcharge.
