BARBARA BUTCHER MSc, of Gratton Drive, Chillington, writes:

Last week was Anti-Bullying Week and it is to the credit of local schools that they have robust anti-bullying policies. Bullying can have a severe impact on young people and can be life-threatening.

But what of corporate bullying, especially in small companies where there is no HR?

In the worst cases, with no one to turn to, this can lead to unfair dismissal and the

spin-off can cause untold harm not only to the person bullied, but to the whole family.

With the increased incidence of stress-related illness, perhaps Anti-Bullying Week could be Anti-Bullying Year so everyone can be more aware of what is going on.

Well done local schools.
