THE Ivybridge Dads group had a fun-filled forest school session with their ’under fives’ last weekend.

In conjunction with South Hams Children’s Centre and the Dangerous Dads network, they built dens, went on  a bug hunt, made mud pies and toasted marshmallows over a fire, with hot chocolate for all.

Sarah Parsons, a family support worker with the Children’s Centre said: ‘It’s great to see the Dads having fun, outdoor time with their young children and it’s really important that we help Dads to have this time as it will help build stronger more positive relationships as the children grow older.’

If you are a dad or male carer with a child under the age of five, and would like to spend some fun time with them and meet other Dads, then they will be a pizza making session on Saturday, May 28 at The Den in South Brent Primary School between 10am and 11.30am.

There is no need to book, just turn up.
