PUPILS at Brixton St Mary’s C of E Primary School have staged their annual nativity play.
They gave two performances of The Magical Christmas Jigsaw, a tale that portrays the seasonal story in the shape of a rather special puzzle.
In the piece, five excited youngsters are given the tatty old thing at a bustling festive market in exchange for a promise that they will find time to complete it on Christmas Eve.
And they discover that as the pieces are put together, so the Christmas story, and all the nativity characters, come to life right in front of their eyes.
Teacher Claire Wilkinson said: ‘I’m so proud of the children, they put a lot of effort into learning their parts and played them wonderfully.
‘It’s traditional events such as this that help to make Christmas such a special time for people, and I hope that everyone involved has gone away with great memories and stories to share for many Christmases to come.’
