SOUTH Hams charity Hannahs is looking for people prepared to use pedal power to raise funds for a much-needed new minibus.
The charity is seeking keen cyclists to take part in the London to Paris Bike Ride on July 20 to 24 this year.
Hannahs has teamed up with Do it for Charity for the fundraising challenge, which will raise money for a new bus for the young people at Hannahs in Ivybridge.
Those taking part will join a large group of cyclists, all fundraising for different charities as they pedal between the two iconic capitals. Accommodation, meals and support will be provided, although there will be a minimum level of sponsorship for participants to achieve.
Hannahs is desperately trying to raise the funds for a new minibus for the 64 children and young people with profound and multiple disabilities based at Ivybridge.
There are many opportunities for the young people in the local area, including the possibility of trips to Hannahs’ other site at Seale-Hayne, but they rely completely on a fleet of specially adapted vehicles.
Anyone interested in the London to Paris Bike Ride can visit www.discoverhannahs.org or contact the charity’s fundraising team at [email protected] or 01626 325838.
