A PARTICULARLY patriotic evening’s entertainment is being put on by Hannahs’ hardworking Ivybridge Supporter Group.

To celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday, the group has organised ’Tipples & Tiaras’ on Thursday, May 26 at 6.30pm to help raise funds for a new minibus for the Ivybridge centre.

Taking place at Delamore House, Cornwood by kind permission of Gavin and Nicky Dollard, guests will enjoy canapés and drinks on arrival while having an exclusive look at the Delamore Art 2016 exhibition. There will then be an illustrated presentation on the Queen’s private jewellery by local expert Meg de Blank.

The evening will also feature a memorabilia table, with guests invited to bring along their own items like photos and press cuttings to share.

Chair of the Hannahs Ivybridge Supporter Group Mary Watts said: ’We are continuing our commitment to raise funds for a new minibus for Hannahs young adults to enable them to get out and about more. So far an incredible £7,370 has been raised towards the bus.

’At our recent Race Evening we raised over £1,440. We have also received donations from Yealmpton Primary School, and through Reg Wilkinson’s artwork, so we inch ever closer to the total Hannahs need to buy a new bus for Ivybridge School.’

The bus will be the second to be donated to Hannahs Ivybridge this year, if the campaign is successful. The first bus donated by the Leathersellers and Lord Taverners Trust, was to be presented this week.
