An Ivybridge woman has been shortlisted in a cooking competition in the nation-wide search for NEFF’s next cookaholic.

Pippa Vincent, also author of the blog ‘The Slimming Foodie’, could be in with a chance of winning the coveted title of NEFF’s Next Cookaholic after being shortlisted for the next stage of the competition.

The competition, now in its second year, calls for any food enthusiasts to submit their signature recipe, with a unique spin or creative ingredients. The winner will not only receive a kitchen full of appliances but will also be involved in recipe creation, product testing and recruiting more ‘cookaholics’ as well as joining the panel of cookaholics.

Pippa Vincent commented on her success: “Getting creative in the kitchen to develop flavoursome, healthy recipes is what drives me the most. The cookaholics competition really rewards the genuine love for cooking and sharing food and being shortlisted is just an honour”.

Jo Eyers, the group marketing manager at NEFF said: “Cookaholics are passionate foodies, keen to experiment, create, share and inspire others about food or cooking.

“This year we’ve had some outstanding entries too and Pip’s recipe was one of these. We’re excited to really understand why she believes she is a cookaholic and we wish her the best of luck for the next round.”

A final ‘cook off’ event for the competition will be held on Saturday, August 26, at The Big Feastival, a food and music festival held in the Cotswolds, where the crowned winner will become the face of NEFF’s Next Cookaholic campaign, as well as receiving a kitchen’s worth of appliances.
