Defending champions Ivybridge B moved into pole position this week with a 6-0 whitewash over newly promoted Halwell C.

Ryan Colmers side never looked in any trouble as they breezed past their hosts on course to maximum points. Along with Colmer, there were two wins each for Ben Steed and Mark Tomlinson.

Regal who went into the week in top spot suffered a 4-2 defeat at the hands of newcomers Modbury.

Ivybridge A remain in contention after their 4-2 win at home to Dartmouth.

Woodlands remain in hot pursuit of those at the top with a 4-2 win away to Halwell B.

Steve Cairns got Woodlands off to a solid start picking up the first of his two frames on the night, but Charlie Kneil answered straight away for the hosts to make it 1-1.

Captain Adrian Rendle put Woodlands 2-1 up and when Colin Drury made in 3-1, the visitors were hoping for a big win.

Charlie Kneil was the saviour though for Halwell with his second win of the night to make it 3-2, but nobody could deny Cairns his second point of the evening as Woodlands moved up to 5th in the table.

Mill C moved into top spot in Division 2 off the back of handing out a 6-0 hiding to Halwell K.

Mill B suffered their first defeat of the season as they went down 4-2 at title contenders Halwell H.

Stephen Archer fired Halwell into the lead with a fine break of 21 in the opening frame and captain Chris Varker followed suit taking the second.

Mill B came storming back into though with back to back wins by Chris Savery to leave it all square going into the final two frames.

Varker took his second frame to put the hosts in front and Paul Gilbey took the final frame to give Halwell a victory which could be telling come April.

Halwell G started this campaign in fine form so it was a surprise when they lots out at the hands of clubmates Halwell E.

Adam Chalk scraped the first frame by a single point to give E the lead, but Barrie Taylor quickly levelled for G.

Captain Andy Dix put E back in front and Chalk notched his second of the night to put E firmly in charge.

When Jamie Bennett took the next for E, they were dreaming of a big win, but Mike Buckpitt can be thankful for the recent for of Taylor who dug in to secure the last frame and pick up his second point on the night.

The final fixture of the week saw the bottom two sides meet. Mill A travelled to Diptford and perhaps unsurprisingly the match ended in a 3-3 draw with neither side able to capitalise.

Week seven’s fixtures are as follows: Division one sees Regal v Ivybridge A, Dartmouth v Halwell C, Ivybridge B v Halwell B and Woodlands v Totnes.

Division Two sees Halwell G v Diptford, Halwell K v Mill A, Mill C v Halwell H and Mill B v Halwell E.
