Sandford (seven points) lost to Cornwood (18) by five wickets

Cornwood kept the pressure on league leaders Brixham with a victory over mid-table Sandford.

Visiting bowler Matt Skeemer took 3-55 as Sandford made a competitive total of 255, so Corns knew they would have to be on their mettle to chase it down.

Jackson Thompson once again showed his class in the chase, striking a superb 129. He was well backed up a half-century from Ben Warren, who made 58, as Cornwood eased to a win to stay second, just six points behind Brixham.

The seconds lost out at home to Sandford, all out for 114 chasing 124.
