A LOCAL independent funeral director has been recognised for the quality of its customer service.

Plymouth’s Walter C Parson Group of funeral directors has branches in Ivybridge and Plympton, and was recently given a national award for customer service by Funeral Planning Services.

The award came as a result of very good feedback in response to a survey of customers that had bought a prepaid funeral plan from the firm.

John Ware of Walter C Parson received the award at a gala dinner held by Funeral Planning Services’ chief executive, David Taylor, at one of the UK’s top venues - The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield.
