After two defeats last week the Ivybridge team were hoping for a change of fortunes when they played Peverell Park in an Evening League match.

However this away game, the only fixture for the Ivies this week, once again proved to be another battle lost.

For Ivybridge there were two winning rinks, the best of which was skipped by Dave Crisp aided by Peter Bray, Rob Woodcock and John Cann. They claimed a well-earned victory by 24 shots to 13.

With a score of 19-16 the other rink that came out on top was skipped by Eric Bennett with Bruce Robinson, Paul Morgan and Larry Ireland.

Nic Randall, Dave Gibbs, Dave Fourte and Ken Kempthorne lost a close game by 16 shots to 20, but losing by a distance was the rink of Geoff Brimblecombe, Brian Harman and Chris Bufton, skipped by Roland Lugger, who suffered a defeat by 11 shots to 33.

This gave the match to Peverell by 82-70.
